Pray?

I wonder at our reasoning.

Think about this hymn prayer
"Send peace, O God, send peace again."

As if it is God who needs convincing!

Any fair judge of our situation must
decide that God is not the problem in
the world.

If any prayers are flowing any direction,
they must be prayers from God toward
human kind.

The prayer would be that out there
on that little planet on the fringe of
the galaxy called Milky Way – one of a
billion such galaxies within the scope
of the Almighty – the Holy is praying
to those living there for them to make
peace.

Does anyone ever listen to the prayers
of God toward humans?  Or attempt to
answer them.

"He has showed you, O man, what is
good; and what does the Lord
require of you but to do justice
     and to love kindness
and walk humbly with your God?"

Last night I had the strangest dream
I'd never had before
I dreamed the world had all agreed
To put an end to war.

I dreamed I saw a might room
And the room was full of men
And the papers they were signing said
They'd never fight again.

And when the paper was all signed
And a million copies made
They all joined hands and bowed
     their heads
And grateful prayers were said.

And the people in the streets below
Went dancing round and round
And swords and guns and uniforms
Were lying on the ground.

Last night I had the strangest dream
I'd never dreamed before
I dreamed the world had all agreed
To put an end to war.
