GENESIS 50:4
"When the days of weeping
for him
were
passed..."
In Genesis we see it all...
creation
to destruction...
chaos to
paradise...
tenderness
to brutality...
brotherliness
to murder...
fidelity
to incest...
awe to drunkenness...
worship
to irreverence...
birth to
death...
joy to sorrow.
Jacob dies and Joseph grieves...
the heart
hurts...
memories
seek immortality.
We see care for the dead...
embalming
and coffin
tomb and
burial.
And we see Joseph himself...
full of
years and reality
preparing
to die.
In the beginning of Genesis
God created...
and in the
end
his creations
die.
But not without tears.
Not without tears. |
