GENESIS 39:7

"She said, 'Lie with me,'
    but he refused."

We pause amazed...
    what control!

Maybe this is another
    Bible miracle.

Psychologists might wonder
    at such behavior...
    most unusual.

Which maybe is the point.

Sometimes men are praised
    for their virility
    and victory.

Nobody would believe
    he didn't do
    what he didn't do.

An innocence so rare
    in those days and these
that they put him in jail.

It makes one wonder
    whether it's worth it
    to just say "no!"

    GENESIS 45:2

"'And he wept aloud...
    is my father alive?"

I've always enjoyed
    this story...
    from Joseph's
    coat of many colors...
    to his brothers
    selling him as a slave.

His rise to greatness
    among Egyptians...
    as his brothers beg
    for his generosity...
    not knowing he is
    their long-sold brother.

That moment of discovery...
    the chilling news...
the kid is a man of power
    to give life and death.

As they tremble
    Joseph weeps and embraces
    and his about his dad.

Here is amazing grace
    Joseph the savior...
    dead and buried and gone
now raised to power and glory.
