The Wedding Service
Most weddings, regardless of size, have common elements:

        Gathering of Wedding Participants

At some time prior to the ceremony (allow 30 minutes), all those involved in the ceremony gather for final preparations. The wedding certificates are often signed at this time.
        Gathering of Guests
Wedding guests typically arrive early. They should be greeted and plans made for their informal waiting or seating. Ushers or greeters should be in place 30 minutes before the ceremony.
        Preparation to Begin
Guests are directed to the wedding site.
Preliminary music may be played as desired.
Participants prepare to enter.
        Entrance of Participants
Escorted parents and/or special family (Bride's mother is last) Groom's party and Minister
Bride's attendant(s), Flower and ring bearers (if used)
Bride and Father/Escort 
        Ceremony
        The ceremony varies, depending on the type of service.
        A typical wedding may include:
               Introductory Words
               A brief statement of purpose
               Vows
               Exchange of Rings
               Blessing
               Pronouncement of Marriage 
               Kiss
               and
                    Weddings may also include the "giving" of the Bride,
                    invocation, readings, special music, candles and other
                    symbolic action. Friends and family may have parts in the
                    service if desired.
                    The ceremony can be very simple or very traditional,
                    depending on the wishes of the couple.
                    Some couples, after making known their preferences, leave
                    the design of the ceremony to the minister.
Each ceremony is a personalized event.
