"Stop the World
     I want to get off!"

The first play we've seen
     since "retirement."

Perfect!

It was done clown-style
     reminding me of
     Church clowning circus
     I'd just been through.

The hero never got off
     like I did.

Some great lines...
     at least for me.

"I've been lumbered!"
     (Never heard that before
     but I've experienced it.)

"Never have so few
     screwed so many."

We laughed at the play...
     the first we've done
     for a while.

We laughed
     briefly and not loudly.
     But we did laugh.

I kissed her off to work
      my first day
      unemployed.

Now my turn
      to support
      her career.

She's been in my business
      20 hours a week
      besides her own.

I'll be helping her
      to a shorter
      work week.

It'll be a test
      to practice
      what I preached.

Can I adjust my life
      from a complex pace
      to basic simplicity?

Can I play the role
      from the wings
      instead of center stage?

I kissed her off to work
      and began
      my new day.              –Art Morgan
