Bargello with Personality: A One-Day Workshop Quilt or Garment Design
The bargello technique is the basis for creating a wall quilt or a garment depicting a landscape, seascape, farm scene, or whatever theme the participant can imagine. We will begin with the basics of fabric selection, including color, value, and proportions, and then proceed to design. The basic bargello technique (but without matching corners) will be explained and will be enriched with several other techniques. Composition and appropriate border treatments will be covered.
Baskets of Fruit: An Appliqué Workshop
This can be a class for one, two, or more days. The student will be provided with Rita's original designs for several basket styles and types of fruit. We will be using needleturn appliqué, bias tubes, trims, and other techniques. There will be lots of individual assistance and guidance with fabric selection, color, and composition.

Two different block designs will be offered which showcase big prints. Each has unique elements to bring out the colors of the print, and the results will all look different. Design, color, and value will be covered in class.
