GENESIS
2:2
"On the seventh day
God
rested..."
Lots of arguments
would never
have happened
if the writer
had said
"eons"
instead of "days."
Anyway...
why does
the Almighty
need to
rest?
I try to think of the bias
of the Priestly
editors...
seeing an
opportunity.
An existing health R&R day
was an opportunity
to steer
worshippers in.
I accuse the Priests
of stealing
the rest day
by making
it a "holy" day.
Now to faithful souls
the seventh
day
is not for
rest
but busy
holy unrest fulness.
And poor God
trying to
work in an off day
while His
faithful
spend the
day bothering Him. |
