almost breathless
in wondering.
I remember in childhood
staring
on a clear night
into a star–filled
sky.
Where do they begin?
Where end?
Where come
from?
The star–light in the
night
began its
journey to me
millions
of years ago.
Does the light–source still
exist?
100 Million suns...
unnumbered
solar systems
and multiplying
galazies.
"In the beginning...
God...
created."
It does not diminish my wonder...
nor answer
my questions
nor stifle
my awe.
It's an answer
that doesn't
answer...
which is
as good an answer
as we'll
